The natural world reveals itself in the artist's work as biomorphic forms that emerge through an intuitive process. Allowing chance and the subconscious to guide her creativity, she chooses not to work with a preconceived idea and lets improvisation guide the process.

Her career decision to enter the medical field as a microbiologist in 1985 would become a dominant inspiration that greatly influences her art. The shapes pulsate and swarm across the paper resembling images found under a microscope. Forms crystallize or dissolve to reveal imaginary landscapes where filamentous fungi and underwater plant life can coexist.

The artist works primarily with watercolor, using its fluidity to create spontaneous and unexpected results. Her artistic practice is marked by a continuous exploration of themes such as fragility, transience and the relation between the viewer and the artwork. The work invites the observer to reflect on their own experiences and perceptions to connect to the art.
